I’ve been trying to use MAVlink on a Linux laptop to broadcast the data over wifi but haven’t gotten it to work. Mavpilot fails to connect. MAVlink itself definitely connects to the radio. Has anyone gotten this to work? The MAVlink instructions are for a raspberry pi but I thought it would work on a full laptop as well.

Do you have more details of your setup? Are you using TCP or UDP

I didn’t see how to make mavproxy do tcp, so I was doing udp. I’ve since found instructions on setting up an ad-hoc network and it looks like I was probably doing that wrong, so I’ll try out those instructions first. I’m on Ubuntu 14.04. I tried getting it to work on a local network too though and couldn’t connect. I wasn’t looking for detailed help yet as I have some more things to try. Just was curious if others had gotten something like this to work. If I still can’t figure it out I’ll paste some details.

Ok. Sounds good, I’ll be glad to help out, if you need it.
